Mom Time, a support group for new moms and moms-to-be meets weekly at
Army Community
Service.
- Parents as Teachers Program for families of children from birth to
3 years of age, by referral only. This program provides personal visits to the
families by certified educators who help parents understand each stage of their
child's development and offer practical tips on ways to encourage learning. It
is based on two important concepts: 1) that parents are their child's first and
most influential teachers, and 2) that experiences in the first years of a
child's life are key to future success.
- Parent's Place at Ord
Military Community is an age specific program with activities for mothers and
children from birth to age three.
