What to do when you arrive at the Presidio of Monterey:
Note:
All service members will attend a Joint Services Inprocessing Briefing which occurs each Tuesday morning. Check with the duty NCO for time and place (times will vary depending on branch of service, and the place will vary depending on events).
ARMY
If you arrive during duty hours, report for duty with the 229th Military Intelligence Battalion (MIB), Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. Report to the Headquarters Company Orderly Room, Bldg. 834 between 0730 and 1600. Telephone 242-5573/5399. If you arrive after duty hours or on weekends, check in with the Staff Duty NCO in the main lobby of Rasmussen Hall, Bldg. 614. Telephone 242-5119. If you report in after duty hours or on the weekend, check in with HHC on the next duty day. If you're a student service member reporting during duty hours, report in uniform to the unit indicated on your orders. If you don't have a specified company on your orders, report to Military Personnel in Taylor Hall, Bldg. 616. Telephone 242-5373. If you're a student arriving after duty hours, report to the charge of quarters annotated on your orders.
AIR FORCE
If you're reporting to the 311th Training Squadron, check into the Orderly Room in Bldg. 627. Telephone 242-5115. If you're reporting to the Air Force Element, AFELM, go to the AFELM Orderly Room in Rasmussen Hall, Bldg. 614, Room 129. It is open 0730-1630, Monday - Friday. Telephone 242-5264. If you arrive after duty hours or on weekends, check in with the Staff Duty Office in the lobby of Bldg. 614. Telephone 242-5119. Office hours for the Air Force Personnel Office, on the second floor of Taylor Hall, Bldg. 616, are 0700 - 1600, Monday - Friday. Telephone 242-5667. The Air Force Finance office, co-located with the Personnel Office, maintains the same hours. Telephone 242-5179.
MARINES
All Marines (officers, enlisted service members and Naval Postgraduate School students) coming to the Marine Corps Detachment (MCD), report to the Administrative Office during duty hours, 0730-1630, in building 629B, 1st deck. On weekends and after duty hours, Marines report to the Duty NCO in building 629B, telephone 242-5407/5322.
NAVY
If you're a Naval officer, report to the Center for Intelligence Dominance Detachment (CIDD) Administration Office in Taylor Hall, Bldg. 616, during duty hours. Telephone 242-5213. If you're enlisted, report to the CIDD Watch Station in Building 629A. After duty hours both officers and enlisted service members should report to Bldg. 629A, telephone 242-5142/5322/5749.
INPROCESSING All reporting in is done as mentioned above. Check for your branch of service for the building and telephone numbers.
If you get married before you PCS, you must inform your commander and follow the proc4edures exactly as you are given them. The military will not pay for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow the proper procedures.
