There are events occurring every weekend throughout the year. The
following are highlights of a few. If you love to hike, fish, camp, sailboard,
scuba dive, roller blade, or just be outdoors, there is a myriad of beaches,
parks, mountains and lakes to accommodate your favorite recreational activity.
MWR at the Presidio is extensive. Though the golf courses
have been sold to the City of Seaside, the promise has been made to ensure that
the military and DoD rates will still be valid.
The Presidio has one of
the best Outdoor Recreation Programs in the Department of Defense, with
everything from contract condominiums available at Lake Tahoe to local Scuba
Diving clubs, certification and lessons.

The
Ord Military Community Chaplains Offices offer Catholic and Protestant services
weekly, Jewish Services monthly. Hosts annual Easter Egg hunt, Halloween Party,
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies and party, Kids of the Kingdom program
(preschool through 6th grade), Vacation Bible School and Junior High/High School
