There are numerous preschool programs available through childcare
centers, churches and the public school system. For more information,
you may contact the local school district in the county in which you
live.
Cumberland Community Action Program offers a federally funded
pre-school child development program which provides free social and educational
opportunities for income eligible children from ages 0-5, including children
with disabilities. The program also serves pregnant
women. The program is designed to prepare disadvantaged children with
essential skills needed to enter the public school
system.
Transportation to pre-schools is the responsibilities
of the parents. The fees for pre-schools will vary depending on what
program you choose.
