CARE is the community's response to domestic violence, begun in
February 1979. CARE strives to end violence in the home and assist persons to
establish and maintain positive nonviolent relationships. CARE is a unique
specialized program, which offers a supportive environment and comprehensive
services to persons experiencing intra-family violence. Professionally trained
and experienced case managers staff the CARE Center.
Emergency Shelter Service
Shelter is provided to both
the victim of abuse and her children. The CARE shelter offers a safe, secure
environment where the victim has the opportunity to explore her options and
utilize the available resources.
Information and Referral
CARE is
available 24 hours a day to provide information related to domestic violence and
to make referrals to the appropriate resources.
