Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) facilities and activities
are available to all eligible MWR patrons regardless of where they are
stationed. We have however, only listed those available at Naval Base
Point Loma and Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Center. Please check
MWR's web site for information on MWR facilities and activities available at
other San Diego bases.
LIBERTY CENTERS
Liberty Centers are a fun,
cost-free recreation alternative designed to meet the needs of the
sailor. All Liberty Centers are alcohol and tobacco free facilities
for active duty and their guests 18 and over.

U.S. NAVY SAILING CENTER
Conveniently located in Point Loma
at Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center, the U.S. Navy Sailing Center is
one of the Navy's premier marinas. The protected waters of San Diego Bay offer
the perfect location to learn to sail or to sharpen advanced sailing
techniques. The Center also offers sailboat and kayak
rentals. Weekend sailing classes are held from 9 am to 4:40
pm. The cost for the Basic, Intermediate or Advanced classes is $125
for all eligible MWR patrons and $170 for sponsored guests. Call the

SCUBA LESSONS
MWR
offers one and two week SCUBA lessons from Basic through Instructor. Each
session includes pool, classroom training and five weekend dives in La
Jolla. Call the Point Loma Athletic Club for more information.
