IN-STATE TUITION UPDATE - February 28, 2005
The State of
New Jersey, Senate Education Committee, provides that a dependent child whose
parent or guardian has been transferred to a military installation in this staes
will be considered a resident of the state for the purpose of qualifiying for a
State tuition aid grant. The provisions of this bill provide such
military personnel and their dependants living in the state, who are attending
public instituions of higher education will be regarded as residents of the
state for the purposes of determining tuition. This amended action is caputured
under Senate Bill NO. 2205 and is idenitcal to Assembly Bill No. 3705 (IR).
