The Family Support Center assists spouses with their employment
search. We assist customers with short and long-term employment
needs/career goals. We offer local labor market information,
employment trend tracking, skills and interest identification, skills
development workshops, job bank or job referral, linkages to alternatives to
paid employment, and networks for employment contacts and job
fairs.
Military spouses now have a new and exciting opportunity when
relocating to the Colorado Springs area. The Pikes Peak Workforce
Center offers several innovative programs to help you explore careers in
high-demand occupations that will travel with you to your next
assignment.
The new "Military Grant Program" offer eligible spouses an
opportunity to receive grant money towards educational/training certificates,
occupational training, access to workshops and so much more!
If you can
answer "yes" to all of the following, then you may be eligible:
* I am
the spouse of a military member.
* I lost my job at our previous base of
assignment due to a permanent change of station (PCS) by my military
husband/wife within the last 5 years.
* I am currently unemployed or
underemployed and have not held a full-time job (paying the same or higher
salary) than the job I left since arriving in Colorado Springs.
