Off-base, there are more than 600 agencies and programs in El
Paso County, which provide children, youth, adults and senior citizens with a
range of human, social and health services. Non-profits have found
the Colorado Springs area to be attractive and hospitable. The Pikes
Peak Library District provides a computer database and a Resource Directory,
which contains information on these resources. Information is available at the
Family Support Center's Information and Referral Program on a variety of on and
off-base services to include resources for children with special needs,
eldercare/senior services, financial assistance, Directory of Toll
Free Numbers, local and national support groups.
