The Outreach and Prevention Program provides classes, special
events and support groups in the following areas: exercise and
walking play groups for new and expectant mothers, single parenting support
groups, parenting classes, assertiveness training, stress management, anger
management, divorce and stepfamily issues and couples communication.
The
New Parent Support Program (NPSP) provides prevention services
including home visits to families expecting or with children, birth
through age 5. This includes maternal and child health and safety
education.
The Special Needs Identification and Assignment Coordination
Process was formerly known as the Exceptional Family Member Program
(EFMP). The name was changed to more accurately describe the services
provided for family members with special needs in the Air
Force: Identification of special needs and clearing family members
for accompanied travel.
The Family Maltreatment Case Management Team
evaluates referrals of suspected family member maltreatment, assesses safety
issues and develops treatment and safety plans when
necessary. Services are provided to support a case management plan
for substantiated cases.
