There are approximately 90 public elementary schools in Colorado
Springs. Children must be five by 15 September to enter
kindergarten. Kindergarten is not mandatory in
Colorado. Children living on Peterson attend Monroe Elementary
School. There are also many faith-based and private elementary
schools.
