El Paso County Department of Human Services is the civilian
agency that investigates reports of child abuse and neglect that occur in the
Colorado Springs community. DHC is involved with cases involving
military and civilian familes. DHS, the Family Advocacy Program, and
the military and civilian law enforcement agencies work together to protect
children and ensure parents obtain the help they need.
CASA of Colorado
Springs, Inc acts as an advocate for abused and neglected children involved in
conflictive case or children caught in the legal and social service
systems. CASA volunteers advocate on behalf of the child's needs in
court and to other professional agencies.
