The
economy of the area is primarily comprised of government, tourism and
manufacturing. The health service segment is showing strong
growth and construction is stable. However, the supply of
workers in the area exceeds demand for virtually all
occupations. Make sure you bring a good resume, and if
possible, references with you. Most all employeers in the
Pensacola area pay minimum wage, or slightly higher. It is rare to find
employment in the area which pays more than $10.00 per hour and those
jobs offering $10.00 per hour are few.
NOTE: Pensacola is below the State average wage as of 2003.
