The mission of USMEPCOM and the Honolulu MEPS is to process
individuals for enlistment or induction into the armed services, based on
DoD-approved peacetime and mobilization standards. The Honolulu MEPS has
enlistment responsibility for five Hawaiian islands and Pacific Rim
countries including the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States
of Micronesia, Republic of Palau, Northern Mariana Islands and American
Samoa. Aside from the MEPS located at Naval Station Pearl Harbor, eight
Mobile Examining Team (MET) sites in the Honolulu MEPS area offer aptitude
testing to applicants near their homes, which eliminates unnecessary
applicant travel. Additionally, Honolulu MEPS supports overseas testing in
Korea, Japan and the Pacific Rim. |
