sector.
Conducting a successful job search involves being
prepared and using available resources to find out about job opportunities in
the area you are living or relocating to. Attending the "SEAP -
Employment in Hawaii" session will provide you with information about the Hawaii
job market, assess your work history and job skills, and provide you with access
to the JEMS Job bank.
If you are interested in pursuing a
career in the private sector and would like assistance, the JEMS Job bank lists
occupations in the private sector.
The Joint Employment
Management System (JEMS) Job Bank is available on-line at the listed web
address. The JEMS Job Bank contains an average of 1,400 job listings
on a monthly basis from approximately 4,000 companies. In addition to
the workshops and individual appointments offered, the FFSC Client Resource
Center has several computers, a laser printer and scanner.
For access to
the JEMS Job Bank: You need to be an eligible family member of an
active duty Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard with a valid Military ID Card to
be eligible for our employment services that includes providing access for the
JEMS Job bank. If you are eligible for our employment services,
please call 473-4222 "press 1" and register to attend the "Employment in Hawaii"
session.
If you do not live in Hawaii and will be relocating to Hawaii
within six months, you can e-mail the SEAP Manager for job search assistance and
