MILITARY SPOUSE PREFERENCE

The DOD Spouse Preference Program is available to spouses accompanying an active duty military member relocating under permanent change of station orders.  As implemented on O'ahu, this program is only available to spouses who are:

    1) On Leave Without Pay Status, from a Federal DOD agency;
    2) Married to the military sponsors prior to the sponsor's reporting date into the new geographic location and
    3) Immediately appointable to a job in the competitive service (i.e. current federal employee with reassignment or transfer eligibility, reinstatement eligibility, or E.O. 12721 eligibility, and meet suitability and citizenship criteria).
