The Navy offers several Child Development Centers (CDC), for children 6 wks-5yrs. of age, however, many times there is a waiting list.  You may apply to get on the waiting list before arriving in Hawai'i.  Contact KIDS LINE at (808) 473-KIDS (5437), for applications and procedures as soon as you receive your orders.

Navy Family Child Development Home (CDH) Providers have vacancies for all age groups.  A listing of certified CDH Providers may be obtained from KIDS LINE.  The CDH Program Office is located in Building 1514, across from Makalapa Clinic (same parking lot) (808) 473-4591.A+ After School Program is a federally-subsidized program for school aged children of dual income or single parent households.  The care is provided on site, and is available until 5:30 p. m., only on days school is in session.  The cost is $55.00 per child per month. The A+ program also offers before school care at several of the elementary schools for an additional $20.00 per child per month.  You may apply for reduced A+ fees, however LES and/or pay stubs are required as proof of income.  Ask about the program when you register your child.  Most of the elementary schools offer breakfast for an additional fee.
