The Branch Dental Clinic, located at the Naval Medical Clinic,
services active duty personnel. The clinic provides general dentistry, cleanings
by hygenist, simple oral surgery and root canals. Complex cases are
referred out to Bethesda, the Navy Yard, or Annapolis. You may call
301-342-1407 from 6:45 A.M.-4:30 P.M., M-TH and 6:45 A.M.-3:30 P.M. Friday for
appointments. For emergencies on off hours contact the Quarter Deck at the Naval
Medical Clinic, 301-342-1418.
The TRICARE Family Member Dental Plan,
administered by United Concordia Companies, Inc., is available for active duty
family members. You register for the plan at Personnel Support Detachment. The
plan is a voluntary comprehesive dental plan. There is a monthly
premium paid through payroll deductions. The plan has cost shares, maximums, and
limitations with amounts covered varying on the services. Call
Concordia at 1-800-866-8499 for information, benefits and list of
providers. A list of participating dentist is also available in the
clinic's Customer Service area located at the Naval Medical Clinic
Quarterdeck.
