Patrick AFB has 41 Geographically Separated Units (GSUs) 39 of
which belong to the 333rd Recruiting Squadron. Most recruiting
offices are not close to a military installation and as such there are no
government facilities available. Medical care is through
TRICARE. Housing may be government leased or individually leased.

The major GSU's
include:
Antigua Air Station (Det 1, 45 LG), Island of the Lesser
Antilles, Call DSN 854-1110 and ask for Antigua 200 or commercial 268-462-3200,
only two military members assigned. Government facilities are not
available. This is a contractor function with military
oversight.
Ascension AAF Island (Det 2, 45 LG) in South Atlantic, call
DSN 854-1110 and ask for Ascension 2200 or commercial
011-247-2200. Only three military members
assigned. Ascension has dorms, club, exchange, medical and dining
facilities. The closes town is Georgetown (one mile)
and Two Boats (four miles). Most inhabitants are British
or South African.
