The Dental Clinic serves recruits and active duty personnel as a
first priority. These personnel are entited to receive complete and
qualified treatment. Dental services for family members are covered
through TRICARE - Family Member Dental Plan.
Space available dental care
for retirees and family members of active duty and retirees at the Naval Dental
Center, Parris Island, continues to be "extremely limited" because of reduced
staffing and dental needs of active duty and recruit personnel.
The
Dental Center will continue to provide examinations (annual or second opinions)
and those services necessary to manage acute dental services necessary or manage
acute denatl emergencies.
