BASE ACCESS:  Personnel entering NSA PC must possess an accepted form of identification (i.e., a valid NSA PC or tenant security badge; a badge from a command where there is a reciprocal agreement; a temporary personnel badge; a visitor badge or pass; a military identification card.) If driving, a valid driver's license is required.

Privately owned vehicles must display a valid DoD vehicle decal or temporary vehicle pass. The following documents are required and must be current and valid for issuance of vehicle decals and temporary passes:

Driver's License

Vehicle Registration (If new vehicle - a transfer of registration form from the dealer is required. If the vehicle is a rental, a copy of the rental agreement must be presented. If you are not the registered owner, a note from the owner giving you permission to use the vehicle is required (for temporary passes only).)

Proof of Insurance

TRAFFIC REGULATIONS:  Traffic regulations within the Installation conform to the motor vehicle laws of the State of Florida. The operation of individually owned engine-powered vehicles, which do not require licensing by the State of Florida, are prohibited.

Unless otherwise posted, the speed limit is 20 MPH.

SEAT BELTS:  Seat belts must be worn in accordance with Florida State law, and base regulation requires ALL PASSENGERS to wear seat belts while on the installation.  All children 5 years of age or younger shall be protected by use of a crash-tested, federally approved child restraint device. For children aged through 3 years, such restraint device must be a separate carrier or a vehicle manufacturer's integrated child seat. For children aged 4 through 5 years, a separate carrier, an integrated child seat, or a seat belt may be used.

Base security personnel do establish random check-points on the gates to ensure that seat belts are in use.  Violators are subject to citation.

VEHICLE INSPECTIONS:  All vehicles entering or exiting are subject to administrative inspections. If an individual refuses to submit to an inspection upon entry, the individual will not be allowed access. If an individual refuses to submit to an inspection upon departing, he or she will be detained and appropriate action taken.

WEAPONS:  Weapons are not allowed on board the Installation unless specifically authorized by proper authority. Residents in family housing and recreational vehicle residents in the NSA PC family campground are permitted to transport firearms to and from their residence provided the firearms are registered with the NSA PC Security Operations Division. Weapons not approved for storage in family housing or the family campground will be stored in the NSA PC Armory.

CAMERAS:  Camera passes are required for visitors to the Installation. If cameras are brought on board, contact the Security Operations Division for authorization.

CELL PHONES  Drivers are prohibited from using cell phones on DoD Installations unless they use a hands-free device.  NSA Panama City Police and Security will issue citations for violations resulting in three (3) points assessed to your base driving record and possible fines as appropriate.

CAUTION: Florida drivers are impatient and tend to speed up to 'beat a yellow light', rather than prepare to stop.  Consequently, many drivers run red lights and you become the victim!  Don't become another statistic!! Take an extra second to be sure the oncoming traffic is stopping before you enter an intersection

FLORIDA LAW REQUIRES YOU TO TURN ON YOUR CAR HEADLIGHTS WHENEVER THERE IS ANY RESTRICTION TO VISIBILITY WHILE DRIVING.  THIS INCLUDES RAIN, FOG, SMOKE, AS WELL AS AT DAWN AND DUSK.  DRIVE SAFELY!
