No matter how well you plan your move, emergencies can
happen. Before you depart, make sure you have all your important
papers with you--not packed and on the moving van. Make a list of
telephone numbers of key points of contacts at your new duty
station. Include this list among your important
papers. Important phones numbers could be the Command Duty Officer,
your sponsor, new unit number--these can be invaluable in case of an emergency
while in transit.
