8:00 a.m. - 5:15 p.m., Wednesday
Specific proofs of identification documents are required to obtain licenses. Active duty can keep state home of record driver's license. Family members must get Nebraska driver's licenses when theirs expire.

To register or renew a vehicle as a military non-resident, you must present a current Leave and Earnings Statement (not a mid-month pay statement) and a military ID card. Proof of insurance in required (showing vehicle VIN number and date of expiration). If transferring from another state, the previous registration is required. If you lease a vehicle, the vehicle does not belong to you, and motor vehicle taxes and fees will be paid using resident status. If you separate or retire from the military, state law requires you to register your vehicles within 30 days as a resident of Nebraska (if you are remaining in the state more than 30 days).
