Ehrling Bergquist Clinic provides complete medical services for eligible beneficiaries enrolled in TRICARE Prime. All other beneficiaries are seen on a space-available basis.
TRICARE PRIME COVERAGE WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFER FROM ONE LOCATION TO ANOTHER FOR YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS. You must be proactive regarding your family's health care benefits. A TRICARE Prime feature called portability allows beneficiaries to move their Prime coverage during a permanent move to another TRICARE Prime region. Even if active duty military families move temporarily for 30 days or more, it's recommended they transfer enrollment to the temporary residence.
Transferring enrollment to a new region allows beneficiaries to seamlessly transition their health care coverage simply and easily, reduce the risk of encountering higher Point-of-Service costs for seeking health care services outside of their established Prime network, maintain continuity of coverage, and maintain preventive, wellness, and routine care coverage.
While traveling outside of your "home" region to your new location, TRICARE Prime beneficiaries should remain enrolled at their old location and follow guidelines regarding authorization for non-emergency care authorizations. Upon arrival at Offutt AFB, you should transfer enrollment for your family members to our region and select a Primary Care Manager (PCM) in this area. To transfer enrollment, you must contact the local TRICARE Service Center at (402) 293-6500 (press option four) or stop in at the office located at in Ehrling Bergquist Hospital.
Upon arrival at Offutt AFB, our TRICARE contractor will coordinate the enrollment transfer with the contractor in the old location. Enrollment in our region is effective when our contractor receives a completed enrollment application and the enrollee has successfully dis-enrolled from the region in which they resided. If you dis-enroll your family before your departure to Offutt, there would be a gap in Prime covereage.
