NEXStep is a program in support of existing military transition
assistance programs. NEXStep Training for Transition is committed to
providing additional employment and training resources to help eligible
individuals successfully transition to their next job. Military
spouses who meet the requirements of a displaced worker / homemaker under the
Workforce Investment Act of 1998, to include spouses who have had to leave their
place of employment due to military transfer. NEXStep Training for
Transition is operated by Tidewater Community College, Thomas Nelson Community
College and Virginia Employment Commission / Tri-Cities One-Stop
