Jacksonville is easily accessed by US 258, I-40, NC 24 and US 17,
the "Ocean Highway" which runs north and south along the Atlantic
Seaboard.
Air transportation into Jacksonville is available through
flights into the Albert J. Ellis Airport, 15 miles north of the
city.
Onslow United Transit Service (OUTS): There is a one-bus
transportation system in Jacksonville called The Loop. It runs in 1
hour, 20 min intervals and makes a "loop" around certain stops in the
city. Operating hours are from 6-6 Mon-Fri, 10-6 on
weekends. Cost is $1.50 for adults, .75 for seniors w/medicare card
and .50 for children.
The city of Jacksonville is served by Greyhound
Bus Lines and Carolina/Seashore Trailways.
There is a wide
variety of taxi companies and car/van rental agencies in Jacksonville that also

AMTRAK Location: The nearest AMTRAK STATION is located
in Wilson, NC (83 miles north of Jacksonville) or Fayetteville, NC (97 miles
west of Jacksonville).
