New Orleans offers a wide variety of places to shop with a wide variety of things to shop for. The French Quarter is the heart of the New Orleans Shopping District. Royal Street and Magazine Street are the best places for antique shopping in the city.If you are looking for the more popular department stores, there are plenty of shopping centers outside of the city as well. FOOD
Food in New Orleans is unique to the local culture. Local food is commonly defined as Cajun or Creole -spicy, substantial and fattening. The local food is a blend of Spanish, French, African and Carribean cuisine with hints of Native American, Italian, and German.
