Motor Vehicle Inspection Tags: Residents of Jefferson,
Orleans, and St. Bernard parishes must obtain local motor vehicle inspection
tags for their automobiles. They are sold only after an automobile
has passed examination on brakes, lights, and other items.
In Jefferson
and St. Bernard parishes, official inspection stations are maintained at most
service stations. The tags must be renewed once a year, for a
specified fee. Some incorporated cities or towns in Jefferson Parish
have their own inspection requirements. If you are a resident of an
incorporated area within Jefferson Parish, we suggest that you obtain

(City of New Orleans) has its own motor inspection
