to Housing Referral Service before you negotiate any sales or rental agreement,
please remember that this requirement exists to help you avoid landlords on the
Restrictive Sanction List."
Individual counseling and personal attention
to your needs are provided. You must fill out a DD Form 1746,
"Application for Assignment to Housing," whether you need assistance or
not. Housing Referral maintains an extensive listings of rentals,
houses, and mobile homes for sale from private owners or real estate agents,
landlords and apartment complex managers.

Referral has implemented 2 innovative concepts to provide more flexibility and
efficiency for each customer. These innovations are the Automated
Housing Referral Service (AHRS) and Virtual Viewings (VV).
The Automated
Housing Referral Service (AHRS) is an interactive presentation that allows you
to process through all or part of the referral information at your own
pace. Each new screen provides a variety of information and
choices. It allows each customer to determine the depth they desire,
skipping altogether any topics irrelevant to their relocation. This
automated service has been in place since the spring of 2000 and has been proven
successful by nearly 3000 service members.
Virtual Viewing (VV) is an
interactive walk-through of an available rental or sale. Housing
Referral currently has 424 Virtual Viewings for properties in the local
commuting area. Customers are able to conduct multiple viewings,
assessing which properties best meet their needs, before leaving the Housing
Office.
