Special education is defined by law as specifically designated
instruction, provided at no cost to parents or guardians, which meets the unique
needs of students with special needs. Special Education includes related
services that are determined necessary to allow students to benefit from the
instructional program. These services are available for children with
disabilities from birth through 21 years of age.

Communicative Disorders Special Day Class Pre-School - designed
for children ages 3-5 with severe speech/language impairments. Children who meet
the eligibility criteria are admitted without charge. The program includes

Infant Development Program - early
intervention for families of infants and toddlers from birth to three years who
have identified disabilities and developmental delays - contact 899-7172 or

Severely Handicapped Special Day Class
Pre-School - serving children ages 3-5 who exhibit certain characteristics over
a long period and to a marked degree which adversely affect educational

Speech and Language
Therapy - serving identified children 3 -21 years of age - contact Special

Early Enrichment and Kindergarten (EEK) - providing
school readiness for kindergarten age students and children whose birth dates
