Family members who are unable to find immediate employment are encouraged to volunteer their skills with one of the many installation agencies or off base organizations who utilize volunteers, i.e. Navy Family Service Center, American Red Cross, Youth Services, Meals on Wheels, local public schools, Child Development Services, and Army Family Team Building.
Some of the advantages of volunteering are: great skills development, up to ten hours of paid child care and satisfaction for a job well done.
