Family Advocacy Nurse Specialist offers education, referral and
support services to parents with children ages 3 and under. Each month classes
are offered on pregnancy, labor & and delivery, preparing siblings for the
birth of a new baby, and preparing Dads for the birth of a new
baby. There is also a support group for mothers that meets weekly
called Moms and Tots.
In addition to classes, variety of pre- and
post-natal educational resources and services both on-base and in the civilian
community. Resources and services include, but are not limited to:
nutrition information ,parenting skills, support for single mothers and parents
with deployed spouse, postpartum depression, breastfeeding, and much
more.
