Traffic - North Dakota state traffic laws apply on Minot AFB. Seat belts are mandatory in North Dakota. Child seats/restraints are mandatory for children under 4 years of age. Children ages 4-11 must be properly secured in a car seat or buckled in a safety belt. The car seats must meet the US Department of Transportation safety standards. Assigned personnel to Minot AFB must register their vehicles at the Visitor's Center located at the Main Gate (Magic City gate). Individuals arriving from stateside locations have 15 days to register their vehicles on base and 30 days if arriving from overseas.
The following items are required to register your vehicle:
1. A Valid I.D. card
2. Driver's license
3. Vehicle registration
4. Proof of insurance

All motorcycle operators must comply with the requirements of AFI 91-207 prior to operating a motorcycle on base.
