Vehicles must be registered with Security (within 30 days after reporting) at the Pass and Tag Office, located at the main gate.  Pass and Tag is open Monday through Friday, 0600-1430.  Registration requirements are:
1) Proof of state registration
2) Driver's license
3) Valid state inspection sticker, if required by state in which the vehicle is registered
4) Proof of insurance
5) I.D. card

Mississippi state traffic laws apply at NAS Meridian.  Seat belts are mandatory on and off base.  Child seats/restraints are mandatory for children age 4 and younger.  FFSC has child safety seats for temporary check-out.  Cellular phone usage while driving onboard NAS Meridian is prohibited.

Vehicle Checks - All vehicles entering or leaving NAS Meridian are subject to search.

Accidents - Vehicle accidents should be reported to the Security Department at Comm: 601-679-2508 / DSN: 637-2508.

Criminal Offenses - Criminal offenses should be reported to the Security Department at Comm: 601-679-2508 / DSN: 637-2508.
