It is not easy to move to a new area and feel right at home. It takes time to learn about a new area and to make friends.  


EMPLOYMENT
To start the summer hiring seasons a Youth Employment Workshop prepares teens to enter the workforce.  Local employers attend to recruit for summer job and to share information on what they are looking for in future employees.  It is offered during spring break by the Airman and Family Readiness Center and Career Focus and Transition Assistance Programs.

SPORTS
Youth Programs center provides recreational, educational, and social activities (all year) for youth ages 6 to 18.  Membership is free, but registration is required.

The center, located in the base housing area, offers snack bar, a big screen TV,  a basketball court, pool table, ping pong, an air hockey table, baseball fields, tennis court and other recreational items.

Youth Programs center conducts seasonal sports programs that include T-ball, baseball, basketball, fall and spring soccer.  An organized summer camp program including bowling, swimming, arts and crafts, field trips and other activities give youth an opportunity to meet and socialize.

Youth Programs center host special events such as holiday dances, Family Festival of Fun, Neewollah Ball, an Easter egg hunt, invitational sports tournaments and many more family events.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES
The Chapel has two different youth groups.
Youth Alive- meets Wednesday 5:00 pm -6:30 pm and Sundays 6:30 pm -8:30 pm
Catholic Youth Group- Meets Wednesday 6:00 pm -9:00 pm.

TEEN ISSUES
There are also a variety of resources to provide teens with information, On base, the Youth Center provides teen seminars on teen Suicide Prevention, AIDS Awareness, Resisting Bias/Racial Prejudice, Resume Writing/job Search skills, Substance Abuse, Cult Awareness, Gangs and Gang Violence, Teen Sexuality, Peer Pressure, and Developing a Positive Self-image.

The 22nd Security Police Squadron's Community Relations Section is responsible for developing a community-policing program that is designed to better serve the community and help to prevent crime.
