The Special Needs Identification program (SNI-formerly EFMP)
component provides assessment, administrative action, and referral for family
members with exceptional medical, educational, or psychological needs requiring
on going treatment from a specialist. SNI is designed to provide
assistance to the children and adult dependents of eligible military
personnel. Dependents who are emotionally, physically, mentally
challenged are provided treatment under this program. This assistance
may be in the line of counseling, special medical or educational assistance, and
financial assistance. SNI conducts Family Member Relocation
Clearances and Facility Determination Inquiries for active duty beneficiaries to
ensure services are available at the gaining base.
