The Family Child Care Program provides the McChord community with an alternative to other child development programs. The FCC program offers quality childcare in a home environment. This may be a good choice for parnets who want their child cared for by the same provider each day and in a small group setting. The program also offers care for those parents who are waiting for a slot at the Child Development Center.
FCC Providers are military spouses living in the McChord Housing area who have been through training and certification requirements before becoming licensed. All FCC providers are regularly inspected by Safety, Military Public Health, Fire Prevention and the FCC Office.
There are FCC homes that provide care for a variety of situations, i.e., full-time, shift-work, TDY, alerts, hourly, part-time, and infant care starting at two weeks old. There are a number of providers for you and your family to choose from. For more information, call the Family Child Care Office at 982-5762.
