There are dozens of preschools in every
community. These days, the majority of children arrive at
kindergarten having already experienced the hands-on creative learning and
socialization that a good preschool offers. Duval County Public
Schools offer dozens of choices through its PreKindergarten School Readiness
Program.
The Jacksonville Children's Commission, an agency of the City of
Jacksonville is commited to supporting parents and caregivers with the
information and resources they need to help children succeed in
life. This program first touches young lives through its Early
Learning/Literacy programs, which offer resources to parents and caregivers of
children aged five and younger. These programs focus on early
literacy and preparing children for kindergarten.
