The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is a DoD mandated program that
responds to all aspects of child abuse or domestic violence within the military
family. FAP is governed by DoD, Navy and legislative
requirements.
The primary emphasis of the Family Advocacy Program is the
prevention, identification, and treatment of child abuse/neglect and spouse
abuse. This task is accomplished through a variety of workshops and
training, briefings, and coordination with other programs and activities to
ensure that the military community receives the skills necessary to enhance
healthy lives and families.
