Transportation Incentive Program (TIP)
The TIP is a federally funded program for traffic congestion relief.  Basically, it will cover public transportation expenses up to $100 per month for military and civil service employees to get to/from home and work.  If you would like to participate in the program, please contact the Naval Station Admin Office at 270-5236/6110.  This program provides the bus pass up front, it is not a reimbursement program for money you have spent on public transportation.

JTA Mayport Bus Schedule

JTA launched a new bus service (Q4) to Naval Station Mayport in 2003.  Bus Q4 originates at Regency Mall early in the morning.  It starts the naval station loop every hour (approximately 5 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Friday and 7 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday) from Atlantic Blvd. near Publix (just east of Mayport Rd.) and proceeds up Mayport Rd.  It stops at JTA bus stops, overlapping with bus Q3 (this will allow naval station riders to get on the base bus directly from Mayport Rd. stops and not have to make a bus switch to get onto the base).  It proceeds to the Wonderwood/A1A park and ride, then comes onto the base.  It will hit all key areas of the base (8 stops including medical clinic, BQ Area, E/F wharf/SERMC, south wall fence pedestrian walkthrough, McDonalds, Hangar 1552, Single Sailor Center, and C pier.)  It leaves the base and proceeds to the park and ride lot, then down Mayport Rd. to Publix on Atlantic Blvd.  (TIP) Transportation Incentive Program passes are good for JTA bus service.

Many of the tenant commands have a duty van that may be available for transportation from the airport to the base.  Call the command duty officer or if number unknown, call the NS Mayport Quarterdeck at (904) 270-5401, 24 hours per day, prior to departing to make arrangements for a ride if available.
