Montgomery is centrally located. You can get around
the city within 15-30 minutes utilizing I-85 or I-65. Prattville,
Millbrook and Wetumpka are just 10-15 miles outside of
Montgomery.
Public Transportation:
There is a local city bus
system in the city of Montgomery (MATS) with 11 fixed routes, Demand Response
Services and Paratransit Service. Additionally, the Montgomery Area Transit
System (MATS) operates the Lightning Route Trolley System, which circulates
through downtown Montgomery every 20 minutes. Routes and times of operation vary

times.
Taxicab service is also available in the Montgomery
area.

served by five car rental companies; Avis, Budget, Hertz, National and

parking costs $1 an hour, with a maximum of $8 a day. The maximum for
long-term parking is $4 per day.

Birmingham International Airport is about 100
miles north of Montgomery northeast of downtown off I-20/59 East. It
is served by six major airlines and five regional
carriers. Hartsfield International Airport in Atlanta, which is the
busiest airport in the nation, is about 150 miles from Montgomery.
National Bus Transportation:National bus transportation is
also available from Montgomery at the Greyhound Bus Station.
