Traffic is at the top of the list of concerns for residents of this area.  The population has more than doubled in the last twenty years causing traffic jams on the freeways to stretch for miles.  Figures show a 100 percent increase in traffic in the last ten years.  Riverside County is linked to neighboring counties by Interstate 215 and 10 and by the 91 and 60 Freeways. The Riverside Freeway, which carries commuters from Riverside County to jobs in Orange County and Los Angeles, is one of the most congested in the state.  Commuters travel anywhere from 35 to 100 miles one way and the morning and evening "rush hour" can last up to four hours.

The Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) is the primary provider of fixed route and paratransit services throughout a 2,500 square mile area in Western Riverside County, California. Their mission is to "provide for a variety of transportation needs in a cost effective and efficient manner, for all the residents of our member communities".   The agency is committed to providing safe, reliable, courteous, accessible, innovative, and user-friendly transit services to our customers.  The contacts/links provides a web resource for the RTA with up-to-date information about bus routes and times schedules.

Metro Link is the commuter train between Los Angeles and Riverside, with stops in between. There are two terminals in our area. The first in the Marketplace (near Mission Inn Avenue and Park Avenue), and the second in Pedley (Van Buren and Limonite Avenues). The Metro Link station in
San Bernardino (approximately 45 miles from Moreno Valley)will connect you with AMTRAK.  Call 1-800-371-LINK for station locations and departure times.  The contacts/links provides a web resource for Metro Link.

Other Transportation:

Bus/Taxi:  Downtown Riverside has a modern transit terminal served by Greyhound/Trailways Lines, the Southern California Rapid Transit District and the Riverside Transit Agency. Private charter bus companies and taxicab services are also available.

Ontario International Airport:  18 miles northwest of Riverside, provides flights to cities all over the world. Commuter service is also available. There is no government transportation between the airport and the installation. The contacts/links provides a web resource for Ontario International Airport.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is located approximately 70-80 miles from March ARB.  There is no government transportation between the airport and the installation.  If possible, use Ontario International Airport for travel to March ARB.  The contacts/links provides a web resource for Los Angeles International Airport.
