First of all, make sure you have all your important papers (orders, medical records, SITES, etc.) with you - not packed with your household goods.  Telephone numbers for your Commander, Orderly Room, & your sponsor can be invaluable in case of emergency while in transit. Look for the nearest installation while on route to Malmstrom for help and emergency relief procedures for financial aid (all branches of the service financial aid areas work together).  The American Red Cross is always available for emergency assistance anywhere you may be.  Contact the nearest chapter or call toll free to 1-877-272-7337.
The Air Force Aid Society on base will help with emergency services for all military members.  The member needs to speak with their 1st Sgt or Commander first and then make an appointment with the proper staff member at the Airman and Family Readiness Flight.  Be sure to bring a copy of your latest, end of the month LES and any documentation you might have to justify your financial need. The American Red Cross will help with notification in emergency situations or with civilian needs. Military members needing emergency leave must contact their 1st Sgt or Supervisor.
