The Spring of Tampa Bay provides refuge to victims and their
dependent children. As the largest of Florida's 40 certified centers,
The Spring exists to restore peace to violent families. Their
emergency shelter capacity is 102 beds. The Spring provides
specialized services for survivors and their children to aid them in rebuilding
their lives and intervention services for offenders to accept responsibility for
their actions. Community education and outreach reflect our emphasis
on prevention. The Spring serves one of every 10 victims of domestic violence in
Florida. Two of every three beds at the shelter are occupied by
children.
