NOTE: If you get married before you PCS, you must inform your commander and follow the procedures exactly as you are given them. The military will not pay you for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow the proper procedures.
When you arrive at MacDill Air Force Base, your first step should be to contact your Commander's Support Staff (CSS). There, you will turn in all records from your last assignment, update your DD Form 93 (Emergency Data Card) and get scheduled for the MPF/Finance and Right Start Orientation.
If you arrive after 4:30 p.m., or on weekends or holidays, go to the 24-hour arrival point, the MacDill Inn, located in Building 411, Hangar Loop Drive, to arrange for temporary living accommodations. The MacDill Inn's phone numbers are 813-828-4259 (DSN 968-4259) or 813-828-2617 (DSN 968-2617).
If you're assigned to U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM), report to the Headquarters, Building 501A, between 8 and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or call 813-828-4106 to begin your in processing.

The MPF/Finance In processing include TRICARE briefings and enrollment. The MPF will review your personnel records and emergency data card. Finance will assist you with filling out your travel voucher and starting your pay.
The Right Start Orientation Program provides you with briefings from all the major base organizations and gives you the opportunity to meet with the 6th Air Mobility Wing Commander. The briefing also familiarizes you with the base. This orientation is offered the first Wednesday of each month. For information on the Right Start Orientation, contact your Commander's Support Staff (CSS) or the Military Personnel Flight customer service desk at
813-828-2278. During normal duty day, members are to report to their unit orderly rooms.
