Social Service agencies in the State of Arizona come under the
Department of Economic Security. There is a variety of agencies available to
assist families in need. These include Client Advocacy, Child and Adult
Protective Services, Children, Youth and Families, Developmental Disabilities,
Employment, Food Stamps, Medical Services, Rehabilitation Services, and Welfare.
Branches of the various services are located throughout the Valley. These are
only a few of the agencies in the community that provide services to military
families. The Information and Referral (I&R) program at the Family Support
Center maintains a listing of community agencies and
programs.
Non-Profit Social Service Agencies -
Because of the size of the metropolitan Phoenix area, it's not feasible
to list every social services program available. For assistance with locating
additional services or targeting a specific organization, contact the
Information and Referral Program Manager at the Family Support Center.
