Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field is in the Sonoran Desert of
southwest Arizona. It is a civilian operated satellite of Luke Air Force Base.
Its primary mission is to maintain the Barry M. Goldwater Air Force Range. Luke
also supports the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps programs at
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Arizona State University and Northern
Arizona University.
