There are several programs available on base for new parents. The
Family Advocacy office and the Family Support Center both offer specialized
programs.
Bundles For Babies -
This program is sponsored by the Family
Support Center, Family Advocacy and the Air Force Aid Society. This monthly
program is for families in their second trimester of pregnancy. It consists of
information on health and nutrition for mother and baby, financial planning,
exercise and parenting skills. Each active duty Air Force participant or spouse
receives a "bundle" containing new items for the baby.
New Parent Support
Program -
This program is sponsored by the Family Advocacy Center. This is an
educational and supportive program available on a voluntary basis to first-time
parents during pregnancy and up to one year after the child's birth. Focus is on
growth and development, infant stimulation, safety, nutrition, family role
dynamics, and discipline.
