Child care services on base include the Child Development
Center's Family Day Care program, and the before and after school programs for
children who attend Luke Elementary School. Summer camps are also available.
Some military family members provide certified child care in their on-base
homes. Normally there is a waiting list to get into the programs offered and
there are restrictions on eligibility. Parents should contact the
centers/providers early and attempt to make arrangements in advance.
The
newly expanded Child Development Center is an accredited program offering
quality care to children six weeks through five years of age. The child
development program was established to meet the needs of working parents by
providing a safe, developmental program that provides a variety of activities
including independent and organized group play for full-time and drop-in hourly
children. Reservations are required for hourly drop-in care that is offered on a
space available basis. Drop in care is not available for newborn
children through 6 months of age.
