Chapman University and Webster University offer classes at
LAAFB.
CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY has several degrees available at
Los Angeles AFB: BA and MA in Criminal Justice; BA and MA in
Organizational Leadership; BA Social Sciences; BS Computer Information Systems;
MA Education; MS Human Resources; and teaching credentials in single or multiple
subjects. Classes are held Monday through Thursday evenings, and
occasionally on Saturdays. Terms are nine weeks long, and Chapman has
open enrollment.
USAF personnel requesting government Tuition
Assistance or In-Service BA benefits are required to see an Education Counselor
prior to registering. There is a special reduced fee for anyone who
works at Los Angeles AFB.
WEBSTER UNIVERSITY currently offers
several programs at Los Angeles AFB: a BA in management, an MBA, an
MA in Leadership and Management, and an MA in Computer Resource Information
Management. Webster University programs are geared toward the
non-traditional, working student. Classes are held at lunchtime for
BA candidates and in the evening for MA degrees. There are normally
12 students per class, never more than 20.
Sign up with the Webster
representative located on base. The advisor will help you design an
education program plan and will register you for new student
orientation. Open enrollment allows students to begin their studies
in any of the five nine-week sessions. Active duty, retired, or
guard/reserve and their family members and government civil servants get a
discount on tuition.
